Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was lovely overall. The rooms were superb, equipped with modern amenities, and had nice finishing touches like exclusive toiletries and a stocked fridge with fresh milk for tea and coffee, although lacking a bit of the wow factor. The service was hit-or-miss, with a very welcoming initial reception but some shortcomings in attentiveness. The location was peaceful yet conveniently close to Edinburgh city, offering a relaxing retreat. The dining experience was pleasant with a variety of options, although not perfectly organized. The facilities were good overall.
The hotel was quite far from reception, but the rooms were very comfortable, and at a charge of only £3, I thought it was very good. The rooms were over two floors, with two bathrooms and a separate lounge/seating area with a TV. There was also a TV at the end of the huge bed and a TV at the end of the bath.
The hotel offered a wide range of treats in the rooms, with a relaxing area and separate bar/café for snacks and drinks. However, the room wasn't ready until later than expected. The service was exceptional, with friendly staff going above and beyond by surprising us with a complimentary bottle of champagne for our anniversary. The location was convenient, though a bit noisy at times. The dining experience was exquisite, with a rich selection on the menu. The facilities were top-notch, making our stay very enjoyable.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel, enjoying the modern and well-equipped rooms, although some areas could have been cleaner. The service was top-notch with accommodating staff, but the location, while near the airport, lacked easy access to transportation and shopping centers. The dining experience was delightful with a variety of options to choose from.
The hotel had lovely and spacious rooms, but some furniture might need replacement soon. The service was exceptional, especially around our wedding day, and the location was close to the park and ride for easy access to Edinburgh. However, the dining experience was not up to par, feeling chaotic, and the hotel was busy and noisy due to multiple events. Facilities were satisfactory.
The hotel offers excellently finished rooms that are comfortable for longer stays, though the rooms are small with a view of the car park, which may not suit everyone. The service is extremely friendly and chatty, but there were minor issues with hard poached egg yolks and not-so-friendly staff. The location is in stunning countryside near Edinburgh, convenient for easy access to the city and airport while being far from major attractions. The dining experience had some hiccups with wrong orders and missed items, but the homemade dishes were a pleasant variety. Overall, a comfortable stay with a few areas that could be improved.
I must say the hotel had its charm with some lovely rooms, although the public areas could use some sprucing up. The room I stayed in was spacious, very comfy, and had a stylish decor, just above the main entrance, giving it a unique touch. The service was a mix of formality and warmth, except for one exceptional breakfast attendant. The location was peaceful and beautiful, ideal for quick airport access without the noise. Dining options were delicious, especially the dinner meals. However, the barbeque could use some improvement.
